Special Programs

One of attributes Northview stakeholders is proud of is our dedication to insure that all of our students have access to programs that will help them succeed.  We offer a myriad of programs at our site which help to bolster and foster student involvement and achievement on every level.

Our AVID program continues to grow and currently services 193 students with a growth target of 300 students for 2016-2017 school year.  We have a robust offering of Advanced Placement and higher-level courses.

Our Renaissance program has been developed since the last WASC visit and is focused on student and staff recognition.

Associated Student Body

Our Associated Student Body continues to grow and promote academic success and involvement across the campus. Our ASB continues to generate the revenue and support of all campus programs at Northview. Our leadership students have created an environment of unconditional acceptance. They thrive on their tenants to “Live Gold”, and they embrace the tenants of our TLC’s in all of their efforts.

Our extracurricular involvement in activities such as clubs, athletics and band are on the rise. Our yearbook and Viking Vision journalism team are exemplary in showcasing as well as archiving the best of our site.

Fame Academy

Our CTE Pathways include the FAME Academy, Industrial Wood Design and Digital photography. We are in the development stages for CTE pathways in Sports Physical Therapy and Animation.

The use of our Naviance program has steadily increased across all four grade levels. Currently, every 9th grade student that has matriculated from our feeder school, Las Palmas, has their four-year plan completed.

Our Saturday Academic School program has become a place for tutoring as well as enrichment, offering make-up opportunities for students as well as Advanced Placement and SAT test preparation.
